These terms cover the Shade Diary website, browser worksheet and local diary app. By using the service, you agree to these terms to the extent permitted by applicable law. The Privacy Policy explains data handling and your choices.

What Shade Diary Does

Shade Diary helps you organize hair-colour preparation, record products and personal notes, and revisit your own dated photos. The worksheet is an organizational aid. Checking every item is not clearance to dye your hair.

Shade Diary does not provide chemical formulas, treatment instructions, diagnosis, allergy testing, safety clearance or a guarantee about how any dye will turn out. Follow the relevant product's instructions and seek an appropriately qualified professional for advice about your circumstances. Colour appearance varies with lighting, camera, display, styling and time. A saved preview or example is not an actual result or an achievable-outcome promise. Live AI generation is disabled in this release.

Who May Use The Service

The service is not directed to children under 13. You must have the capacity to agree to these terms where you live; if parental or guardian involvement is required, obtain it. No account or password is required for the local diary.

Your Content And Control

You retain your rights in the notes, photos and other records you add. Use content you own or have permission to use. We do not require a licence to publish or advertise with your private journal. This release processes journal records on your device; the limited processing needed to operate the app does not transfer ownership of your content.

You are responsible for choosing what to save or export and where exported files go. The journal is not a cloud backup. Removing the app, losing the device or clearing browser data can remove your records. Exported files include readable private information and are not an automatic restore service. Deletion scopes are described in the Privacy Policy and in the app's confirmation screens.

Acceptable Use

Do not use the website or app to violate another person's rights, upload unlawful material to support, interfere with the service, circumvent security controls, send abusive or automated signup traffic, or access data that is not yours. Nothing in these terms restricts rights you have under applicable law, including permitted security research and software interoperability.

Fees, Subscriptions And Refunds

This release has no checkout, trial, subscription or in-app purchase. Joining the launch-interest list does not purchase access or guarantee a release date. We make no promise that future features will always be free. Any future paid offer requires clear separate terms before a purchase; these terms do not authorize a charge or renewal.

Platform Terms And Intellectual Property

The Shade Diary software, design and branding belong to their respective owners. You receive permission to use the service for its stated purpose, subject to these terms and applicable law. For an app obtained through Apple, Apple's applicable distribution terms and standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement govern the app licence unless a reviewed custom agreement is supplied through Apple. This website document does not replace mandatory Apple licence terms.

Cloudflare, Apple and email or file-storage providers operate services we do not control. Their terms apply to your use of their services. Their involvement does not change your ownership of your journal.

Availability And Disclaimers

We aim to keep the service useful and reliable, but cannot promise uninterrupted availability, perfect colour representation or recovery of records stored only on your device. To the extent applicable law permits, the service is provided as available without additional warranties. Nothing here excludes mandatory consumer guarantees or limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited. These terms do not impose a blanket zero-dollar liability cap, mandatory arbitration or a waiver of class or statutory rights.

Ending Use And Changes

You may stop using the service, delete local records or withdraw your launch-interest request at any time. We may restrict access to website functions to address abuse or legal requirements, or discontinue a service. We cannot remotely erase your local diary by ending website access.

If these terms materially change, we update the effective date and give additional notice where required. Changes do not retroactively authorize use of private records or a new charge. Applicable law determines your rights and any dispute procedure; no exclusive court or governing-law election is made until the operator's legal review is complete.
